Before Nico leaves to put on his gear, Jack pats his arm and smirks. “Go get ‘em captain,” he murmurs. Nico’s jaw drops against his will, feeling his face trying to morph into about ten different shades of red at once. (He also envisions getting on his knees if Jack calls him captain again, but unfortunately, he has a hockey game to go play.) He lets out a maniacal-sounding laugh that comes out more like a choke, practically sprinting away before he could blurt out something stupid.
