Summary
A pop princess on the rise. A rockstar on the edge of collapse. Your world is all polish and perfection, hers is chaos and self-destruction. You and Ellie Williams were never meant to cross paths. But when the industry sees an opportunity, it spins a story neither of you can escape: a headline-making, career-saving fake relationship.
You need edge. She needs damage control. It should be simple—play the part, sell the history, survive each other. But Ellie is unpredictable, fame is unforgiving, and somewhere between staged appearances and real fights, the harder it is to tell where the act ends and something real begins.
And in a world where everything is manufactured, the most dangerous thing you can do is feel.

Summary
"Mother also says you're not friends anymore. Why?"
When Alicent lowered her gaze to Joffrey, she read no reproach in the little boy's eyes, merely innocent curiosity. Why weren't they friends anymore? There had been so much pain, so many elements beyond her control that had led to this situation that Alicent had never clearly dared ask herself the question, as if the answer couldn't possibly be simple anyway. And yet the words came to her naturally, like a breath too long held in her lungs.
"Because we hurt each other, mutually."
"Why?"
"Because it was so decided."
"I don't understand," muttered the child.
"I don't understand either," was all Alicent could reply.
It had been four years since Driftmark, since Aemond's lost eye and Rhaenyra's blood. Four years to pray and forget.
Four years after Driftmark, when Alicent thought she had finally forgotten, the maester announced that little Jaehaerys' lungs were sick and that only Dragonstone's sea air could cure him. And, once again, Alicent was forced to remember, to confront a past that was far too heavy, an echo of all she had lost.

Summary
And even if getting Rhaenyra in as a soloist was a staggering show of nepotism, she was still the best concert pianist on the planet. It was like when Dmitri Junior recorded Shostakovich’s second. You could get mad about it for a bit, but it was ultimately fair game. Alicent had already reached all these conclusions because Viserys had spoken to her weeks ago about programming the Concerto, which only had the unwanted effect of giving her time to turn it over in her brain like a particularly nauseating Rubix cube. Each solution of the puzzle led her to the same conclusion: she would be seeing Rhaenyra imminently, and there wasn’t a damn thing she could do about it.
After ten years apart, Rhaenyra Targaryen re-enters Alicent's life for a set of solo engagements with her orchestra. Things go about as well as expected (not very).
