Summary
The Potters have twins, Harry and Charles, Harry gets hit with the killing curse but everyone thinks Charles is the boy who lived. Dumbledore wants Harry, who is eldest and heir, out of the way so that he and Potters can focus all of their attention on Charles. They prepare to send Harry to the Dursleys after disowning him but Sirius, who is Harry’s godfather, objects and takes Harry in instead. Sirius quickly figures out that Harry is the real boy who lived but decides to raise him on the down low, unlike what James and Lily have started to do with Charles. This book will be right after Halloween of 1981 and is mostly Sirius and the other characters figuring out what life looks like after the war has been declared over.

Summary
When Witchers were created, so to were The Companions. A person who journeys with a Witcher to keep them sane, to heal them, to offer comfort, to reassure villages that the Witcher is not a monster, will not go on a rampage, or slake their needs at the local bawdy house. A Witcher cannot travel without a Companion, and Companions are granted agelessness to follow their Witchers.
After Blaviken, Geralt is without a Companion, them having fled after the massacre. And perhaps it was the second...fifth one to flee Geralt. It wasn't his fault they were morons.
Jaskier has been fired by one...three Witchers for being too mouthy, frustrating, a list of things that he thinks is quite unfair.
Vesemir makes it clear they are each other's last chance. Work well together, or Jaskier will begin to age again, and Geralt will never leave the walls of Kaer Morhen.
Jaskier and Geralt are deeply unimpressed with each other but agree to play along. They didn't expect to fall madly in love. Soulmates are just fairy tales, after all. Not for the likes of them.

Summary
Geralt was never supposed to survive the Trials. A submissive witcher was an abomination, an insult to the order of the world. He can never let anyone know his nature, can never accept a gentle touch or a kind word. It's too risky, too dangerous. He might slip up and that would mean the end of everything.
But Jaskier refuses to keep to the script. After the boisterous (alluring), overly invasive (affectionate), and stupidly persistent (brave) Dominant walks into his life with bread in his pants, Geralt starts to think that maybe he could break this endless cycle of deprivation and pain. If only he could figure out how to deserve it.
(This is a low, slow exploration of trauma, recovery, and learning to live with oneself. BDSM is the lens through which all that is explored, but this is not a story based around sexual encounters. Rather, it is one about intimacy, communication, agency, familial bonds, and seeing people as they are.)

Summary
They have a lot in common.
They’re from the same place, they play hockey - Christian’s going to make the NHL one day. It’s not like he idolizes Nicke - everyone in their hometown pretty much worships the ground he walks on, especially those who play hockey.
Christian isn’t sure if he wants to be like Nicke, or to be Nicke, to be one of the best players in the NHL. He’s not even a forward, but he watches Nicke, and he works hard.

Summary
There aren’t a lot of people there, but there are quite a few families with small children who are running through the rows of pumpkins. There are hay bales stacked with gourds, barrels with apples overflowing. Andre had no idea that the farmstand was… like this. He doesn’t know what he was expecting, but he’s pretty sure that it wasn’t something so idyllic.
Nicke leads them toward a tall, skinny guy around Andre’s age, who is carrying a fairly massive pumpkin on his shoulder out to someone’s car. He’s got light brown hair that falls across his forehead, and when the woman he’s carrying the pumpkin for thanks him, he ducks his head slightly and smiles. Andre thinks he’s blushing.

Their parents tell them stories, tell them the witch will snatch them from their beds at night if they’re not good.
“If I give you what you seek,” the witch says, looking at the twins, “you still may not get what you desire. You will still have to work for what you want. It will hurt, and you will suffer, and you won’t always be happy.”

“Djoos,” Andre sing-songs, right into his face. Christian laughs and shoves him gently, at the cost of letting go of his ice pack. “We should go out. I’ll be your wingman, and you can get laid and everything won’t seem so dire after that.”
“I don’t want to go out,” seems like the most logical refusal right at that moment.
Andre shrugs. “We don’t have to,” he says. “It was just a suggestion.” He slumps back into his corner of the couch, picking up his game controller. Christian fumbles to get his ice pack back in the right spot. “Or,” Andre says after a while of quiet. “I could get you off.”
Christian chokes on absolutely nothing.

He gets totally blindsided by the full force of Andre’s smile and Andre’s arm looping around his waist and Andre leaning into his space while he’s talking. It makes Christian’s heart beat too fast and his face feel too hot, and he’s trying to continue to project an outward sense of calm to everyone about this entire situation - playing in the NHL for the first time, actually being on the roster most nights, Andre touching him a lot - when internally he’s freaking the fuck out.
