ever since keith was younger, he’d seen the moon being associated with love. his dad used to tell him stories about a man in the moon that was friends with every single kid on the planet, and how the moon man would always make lonely children feel better and be their friend. at the foster care, he heard and read so many stories about someone taking the moon and giving it to the one they love. he’d heard mothers in movies tell their children that she loved them to the moon and back. he’d heard songs of people assuring other people that no matter how far they’ll be, they’ll be under the same moon. he’d heard people tell their loved ones to look at the moon if they feel lonely, because they’d be looking at it too. the moon was imperfect and flawed and changed constantly, just like love, but at the end of the day, it was always there. even when you couldn’t see it sometimes, you knew that it was always there.
so maybe keith had subconsciously started to associate a giant rock floating in space with love. and it was the best decision he’d made. -

sure, one day he's just a normal kid, then boom! spider powers. okay, that's cool, crime fighting and saving his city is fun, being a superhero is fun, but then BOOM! he comes home from school and sees tony stark having tea with his mother. then he's in Germany fighting Captain America. it all felt some weird series of dreams; beginning and ending before he even had the time to register to what was happening. he didn't want it to be a dream, but after a while, it felt like it was one. sitting in the same car as tony stark, filming an alibi video for his mom, it all felt like a dream.Meanwhile Keith is just a teenage boy with a crush. But it's not everyday that the boy you have a crush on turns out to be spiderman. oh well. he'd seen stranger things. not really, but you know.
