The weight of the mission settles on Atsushi’s shoulders, but he doesn’t hesitate. He nods, already determined to see it through.
But then, something occurs to him—something important.
Furrowing his brows, he asks the inevitable question.
“Who will I be undercover as?”
Silence lingers for just a second too long before Ranpo smirks around his lollipop.
Sliding it out of his mouth with a mischievous glint in his eyes, he answers smoothly:
“A burlesque dancer.”
Atsushi chokes.

Atsushi knew that he was one of the lucky people to have any ability at all, to be gifted with something like regeneration and the ability to stay alive in spite of everything—but he was also unlucky enough to be plagued with the presence of a parasitic tiger in his wake, one that was very much content with feeding off of his existence. In all honesty, Atsushi was not surprised by it. He was just so tired.

The smile on Dazai’s face stretches obscenely.
“A kiss.”
Huh?
“From the pretty weretiger.”
again…HUH?!
