Summary
Fatin has, quite frankly, had enough of this Jeffrey Galanis guy. She can't give concerts in New York anymore without earning herself a nasty review from him, and it's starting to feel targeted. She wants him out of her hair and thoroughly silenced, and she figures it's nothing that can't be solved by a firm letter to the editor - one Leah Rilke, whose name sounds strangely familiar to Fatin, although she can’t quite figure out where she knows her from. But the response from Leah gives her more than she bargained for: it sends her back to her hometown to dig up dirt, and what she finds there may even end up bringing her closer to the mysterious, husky-voiced Leah Rilke.
// OR: the one where Fatin is a professional cellist, Jeff is a music critic, and Leah is the editor of the arts column.

Summary
Party girl and notorious heartbreaker Fatin Jadmani’s ego is shaken to the core when her summer fling dumps her just before senior year. It's the first (and, hopefully, last) time she’s foolish enough to take a chance on half-committing to a sort-of relationship. Worse: he moves on immediately. Even worse: he moves on to a nerdy nobody. Worst of all: the nerdy nobody is annoyingly attractive.
Shy, bookish Leah Rilke has been waiting her whole life for a rom-com worthy romance, and she thinks she’s found it with lacrosse star Kirin O’Conner. He's nice enough, even if he doesn’t really understand Shakespeare. And as for that bitchy but weirdly-intriguing cello-carrying girl she keeps running into around school, well, it’s an interesting subplot to her life, but probably irrelevant.

Summary
After fifty days on that godforsaken island, they get rescued. They get taken to a bunker. No one tells them anything. Fatin is still reeling from finding out that Leah was right, and she's trying desperately to put enough pieces together to make it up to her. And just as soon as Fatin thinks she's making progress, she opens the door to the rooftop and discovers that she and her friends are back in hell again. Only now they've got more people…and more information. Just like the saying goes: out of the frying pan, into another, larger frying pan, apparently.
Thing is, Fatin could really do without being back at square one on an abandoned island as part of some madwoman’s deranged social experiment. She’s finding it…challenging. Maybe more so than the first time around.
And on top of that, of course, she has to try to figure out what she’s supposed to do with all these feelings for Leah. No easy task, considering they only seem to be getting stronger by the day.

Summary
It doesn’t really happen consciously, the whole Fatin-telling-Leah-stories thing. It’s just that Fatin seems to have some kind of sixth sense for when Leah’s about to get in her head, and she knows to pull out some weird fact or funny story to distract Leah.
As the days drag on, Leah tries her best to escape from the things that haunt her, and Fatin becomes her guiding light. And when Leah finally makes it out of her head, she returns the favor.
OR: Leah, Fatin; neither of them really an expert at the whole friendship thing, but both giving it their best try; a burning house, a labyrinth, and a red thread.

Summary
The one good thing Fatin can say about this island? Her cello calluses are starting to fade. Everything else? Shit. Shit. Absolute shit. Day one, their plane crashes. They wash up on a deserted island. A girl dies. Fully fucking, like, kicks the bucket, right in front of them. And, incredibly, things only go downhill from there.
And the worst thing of all is that as Leah slips deeper and deeper into the depths of her obsession, all Fatin can do is watch. It breaks her heart. And it makes her angry. And it makes her frustrated. But most of all, it makes her sad. She doesn't know how to pull Leah out of it -- or if that's even possible. Or if she's just going to have to watch her best friend lose herself completely to the darkness.
// OR: all the season 2 crumbs (and meals and feasts) we know and love, plus all the extra scenes we deserved but didn't get, plus a greatest hits reel of season one, plus me taking a lot of artistic license with some of the s2 dialogue, plus maybe I'll take a stab at s3 and/or a post-experiment epilogue ;)

Summary
Jackie's been doing a whole lot of nothing lately. Which, okay, yeah. She gets it; she was doing a whole lot of nothing before, wasn't she? She never did get on board with the whole living off the land bullshit, and those last few weeks (months, really) were kind of on a downhill slope for her. But she's really doing a whole lot of nothing now.
Being dead is kind of like that.
Or:
Jackie haunts Shauna, the wilderness, and herself.

In an attempt to change her clock back to 2021, an error message appeared instead.
And maybe Callie didn’t have her mother’s Ivy League-sized brain, but she could put it together. In the middle of the woods, her phone displaying it was 1996, of all possible years. It was quite the elaborate nightmare, she’d give her brain that one.

if anyone happened to ask, natalie would say that there are really only three things that you need to know to understand the yellowjackets juniors:
1. for shauna, it’s always about jackie, and for jackie, it’s always about shauna.
2. if you’re horny (you meaning natalie), you go to lottie. if you need to not be (you meaning all of them), you go to laura lee.
3. van worships the ground that taissa turner walks on for reasons natalie is certain she’ll never understand.or prom and its aftermaths, 1995.
