In-ho turns in the doorway to look at him. He smiles, a full, real thing, that softens his cheeks and crinkles the corners of his eyes.
"I'll be here," He promises.
Gi-hun gets on the plane.

“You know,” Gi-hun began, “you’ve been coming here for months, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile. Like a real smile. Is it, like, physically impossible? Or just bad for the ‘mysterious tattoo guy’ image?”
In-ho’s reaction was immediate and entirely In-ho. “I didn’t realize smiling was a prerequisite for buying flowers.”
“It’s not,” Gi-hun replied. “But it wouldn’t kill you to try. Probably. I mean, I’m no doctor, but I think the human face can handle it.”
For a moment, In-ho said nothing. Gi-hun half-expected In-ho to deliver some cutting remark that would send him scurrying back to his roses, but then... In-ho’s lips twitched. It was subtle—barely there, like the ghost of a smile—but it was enough to make Gi-hun’s heart do a little victory lap.
“Noted,” In-ho said as he took the bouquet and turned toward the door.
