Summary
Class 1-A of U.A High—the future pillars of Japan's heroics. At sixteen, they have all of the nation's eyes on them, spotlights focused and pressure rising, the targets of one after another conflict, like they're ants with the light beam of misfortune shined upon them from a magnifying glass, the survivors. And of course, the eventual winners in the aftermath.
All this does not change the fact that they're just a bunch of batshit insane teenagers, when it comes down to it.
Overnight, they find themselves in a situation. Again. It isn't really that big of a deal; waking up to find your quirk swapped out might as well be just another normal morning in the 1-A dormitory. Such is life.
(Alternative title: The excessive, no-good, frankly ridiculous curse of 1-A to be constantly thrown into utter chaos for higher-beings' entertainment. Told from multiple perspectives, in order of dormitory floor, because disarray is best enjoyed well-organised.)

Summary
Oboro has his head tilted slightly, his humming soft, looking so at ease with his back against a tree trunk that you think you might be intruding into something private. Words feel like bricks in your mouth, sharp-edged and pointy, heavy with an unexplainable weight, like once uttered, that quizzical look on Oboro’s face will drop, along with that cocked eyebrow and infectious smile. Typically, a courting occurs in two sidelong processes; an Alpha proving themselves, and an Omega preening.
An Alpha's worth is measured in gifts. The more expensive the better, if current advice from jewellery manufacturers and fashion advertisers and restaurants geared towards courting meals is to be believed. And yes, plenty of Omegas like ornamental things; an instinctual interest in shiny little decorations and trinkets to make a nest appealing to the senses; something to wear as a token of one being courted. Starts off the process, lets an Omega know that there’s interest there.
And all the while, Omegas are intended to make themselves as attractive as possible - pamper themselves with makeup and facials and filed teeth, preen, and sit pretty for an Alpha to protect.
Shouta, at seven years old, had listened to his mother describe the romance and flattering expense of a courting - and promptly wrinkled his small nose. At thirty-one, he’s got the word for it he was missing back then.
