Summary
After learning of the growing distance between the Mage and his heir, the Families decide that they'd rather make an ally of Simon Snow than kill him. Snow is nothing if not loyal though, so turning him is going to need a little more than a good deal. New loyalties must be created and who better to do that than Snow's roommate and soon to be ex-archnemesis, Baz Pitch.
Basically, an AU where the Families get Baz to befriend Simon and try to flip him. Then it develops into something more.

Summary
It's not something I ever thought I'd be doing, crawling into bed with Baz in the wake of my nightmares.
They're not just nightmares anymore though, are they? Because the Humdrum can summon me. It could summon me at any moment.
That’s why this makes sense. Baz is a brilliant magician and just brilliant in general. If we ended up whisked away in the middle of the night Baz would get us out of there (or himself at least).
And if not?
Well, if The Humdrum killed Baz that would solve some of my problems. So, I suppose it has to be Baz.
It has to be Baz because it doesn’t really matter if he dies.

He shakes his head, raises an eyebrow again, encourages Simon to continue. “Is it weird if I haven’t, ah,” Simon pauses, takes a deep breath. And now Baz stops walking, because Simon is blustering, and as endearing as it may be, he has never liked to see Simon struggle— “I haven’t kissed anyone!” Simon blurts hastily, his cheeks blazing, his hands still tugging mercilessly at his sleeves.
