TheChosenOne: today I woke up late, got a Pokémon that hated me, got a phone from mew, found out I’m the chosen one, whatever that means, got attacked by a whole flock of spearow, earned my starters respect, maybe, fell in a river with my injured starter, got fished out by an angry girl, stole a bike, rode to the nearest town, got stopped by police, escorted to a center, which was quickly attacked by team rocket, and played a part in blowing up that center, how was everybody else’s day?

Three lost souls find each other in a slightly different world, and from that moment, become something different. No longer thieves, they find the lost, abandoned, and broken, and do what they can to make them better.
By force, if necessary.
Or, Jessie, James, and Meowth are better delinquent heroes than they ever are as villains, and end up adopting a twerp as a little brother.
Or, Ash travels with an aspiring nurse/idol/Pokemon trainer/princess, the Pokemon whisperer, and a talking Meowth (he still owes the leader of the Cerulean Gym a new bike).

Having been banished to Alola to recuperate from the events of the Indigo League Conference, Ash finds he's the odd man out - trapped in a less-than-friendly rivalry with one of his classmates, locked out of the loop with the rest of them. It takes meeting a kid hiding a huge secret, and the region's local criminal gang, for Ash to begin to find a way to fit in, just in time for his past to catch up with him, and disaster to threaten all of Alola.
