Okay. He’d seen what he was tagged in. It was time to go back to studying. Except…well, he hadn’t gone on Instagram in a while. What if one of the weird people he went to high school with was engaged? What if they had a baby?
It was as he was on this quest for crazy life updates on people whose lives had no bearing on his own that he found it: the Duolingo ad. Apparently, the app had added a new language—the very one, in fact, that Jayce had been trying to figure out how to learn for some time now.
The owl stood somewhat menacingly in the shadows of a cartoon neon sign that read “Ahoj! Learn Zaunish today.”
