    He flinched at it, and tears suddenly filled his eyes for reasons he couldn’t even name. He took another deep breath and the tears spilled down his cheeks as he held Zitka close.

    He didn’t miss Bruce…did he?

    “God, I’m so angry at you!” Dick laughed, voice manic as he tossed his phone beside him on the concrete, on speaker, and brushed a hand wildly through his hair. “It’s always Jason this, Jason that’. Do I just not matter to you anymore? Did I ever? I don’t speak to you for months. Months Bruce! And you still have the audacity to ask about him first thing before even asking how I’m doing when I finally want to talk to you. Do you even understand how fucked up that is? How bad that hurts?"
