Summary
To a bird, broken wings may very well be a death sentence. After all, when you rob a skybound creature of its flight, what does it have left?
J knows that playing by the Solver's rules is a fool's decision, but with how its game seems to be unfolding, she has to make a choice: whether to willingly chain herself to this monster and survive, or to resist and be abandoned in a nameless hell.
To her, it’s really no choice at all.
Because for a bird with broken wings, freedom is nothing but a distant memory.

If there was one actual gift Corporate had given them, it was that they couldn’t remember what humans actually looked like, not even Tessa; so J could pretend the skin Cyn wore was just some nameless organic jackass she had decided she liked the look of. Or that she’d even grown it herself with her disgusting, hideous supernatural powers.
The denial never lasted long when she had to be in close contact with Corporate, and once it stopped working things got… well they got bad.

A Serial Designation J-centric request book for specifically post-canon J, feel free to request anything from J being a giant cuddly cat to J preparing to stab her own face in because she's seeing the demons (ghosts) again! or even just J having a breakdown because she has to barrow Uzi's clothing, Uzi is kinda a tomboy and has more masculine clothing, and now J's body dysmorphia is kicking in again! Really just request anything and it'll either become a chapter or an AI bot as long as I feel comfortable doing this (I'll do anything from Fluff, Smut (well, I'll try smut, that's more likely to become an AI), Angst, comfort, angst/comfort, or comfort about past things! I'll do majority requests, but I DO have the right to say no to them, as anyone does, so enjoy the book and leave requests (only real rule is they have to involve traumatized J and have her post-canon, also no death or anything) ^^ Almost forgot to add this, but Igottagowalkmyfish was the first user to leave Kudos on this book (again), and Notadreamurr was the second ^^
