Lestat, freshly showered, sits on the couch in pajamas and a silk black robe, absently flipping through one of Louis' books.
"I don't mind sleeping on the couch tonight," Lestat says, setting the book down, eyes trailing after Louis.
"You're not sleeping on the couch," Louis scoffs. He enters the bathroom, not bothering to entertain the conversation. "The bed is huge."
"I just want to make sure you're comfortable."
"If I wasn't comfortable, I wouldn't have come out to the middle of nowhere with you," Louis says.
In a trailer in the middle of the desert, Louis and Lestat get to know each other again.

The conversation paused.
Paul shot him a warning look.
Their mother sighed beneath her breath.
Grace looked positively delighted that Louis had decided to involve himself.
Lestat, however, simply turned toward him.
There it was again—that unwavering blue gaze.
Instead of taking offense, the priest smiled, slow and genuine, as though Louis had asked the most interesting question he'd heard all morning.
"No," Lestat answered softly. "Only the people who already are."

Louis slides over him, pressing his mouth against the other man’s. Softening as Lestat moans. Licks into the slit of his lips. Pulling back, “You killed eight wolves?” Settling on his hips.
Lestat looks blissed out. “Mmm? Yes? Yes.”
“When you’re feeling well enough, I’m going to let you fuck me. Got it?”
Lestat moans again. “You- you,” he drops his voice, and it resonates deep in his chest, a little wetness in the sound (which makes Louis concerned), “You- k-keep t-t- toying with me.”
Louis takes care of Lestat when the wolfkilling is done; nursing him back to health. (both of them are human, and Lestat is very in awe of Louis)

His leaden eyelids drooped alongside the creaking casket lid when his ringer shrilled. He had every intention to ignore it until "Lui calling" stole his glance, causing him to nearly tumble forward in his hasty reach. He summoned his pride in time and waited until the appropriate fourth ring to pick up with a lackadaisical, "Why, hello."
"How's Montreal?" Louis' voice crooned like warm vanilla.

Recently fell into IWTV and loved The Vampire Lestat too, including of course the deeper emotional intimacy with Louis & Lestat.I continue my series of "extended" / "deleted" Loustat scenes, this time through season 3 and an imagined season 4 premiere. Slow burn (aligned to arc of TVL), much more Louis POV starting ch. 2, and since it's Loustat, lots and lots of yearning.

Realistically they never should’ve crossed paths let alone fell in love but thanks to Daniel Molloy making a documentary about Lestat and needing a camera man they do and boy do they fall.

Louis knows the risks.
It’s why he’s taken a great deal of caution since his reunion with Lestat. He’s kept contact to a minimum, responding only every so often to the barrage of messages that his maker has sent his way ever since Daniel gave him Louis’ cellphone number. Thankfully, Lestat doesn’t seem to expect a response, as the messages continue even when Louis hasn’t replied for days, weeks. Most of it is mundane, random musings or an update on how the tour is going, and when he really demands Louis’ attention, he FaceTimes him.
