To say Tango knew what he was doing would be a massive overstatement.
Throughout this life game, Tango has been ignored by his soulmate, made many mistakes, and only keeps feeling worse the more time that passes in a way that has nothing to do with the ever-ticking clock in the background. He just wants to feel wanted, loved for a night, and since Jimmy is⎯ Well, no one really knows what is going on with him⎯ Tango decides to turn to two men he’s confident he can trust.
The Mean Gills certainly weren’t expecting this late night visitor.

"So, what did you wanna talk about?" Tango asked.
Jimmy looked away for a moment, trying to think of a good way to phrase this. "...It's about all the dog insults I keep getting." She thought for another moment, rubbing her neck. "I was kind of thinking about you using some of the names they've been saying, and... I dunno, it's just got me thinking."
Tango took a moment to process, then hummed, lips curling into a grin. "Okay..." He said, and wrapped his arms up around Jimmy's neck. Jimmy blushed as Tango pressed their torsos together. "What kind of names?"

When Jimmy agreed to this team name, she didn't fully realize the implications it would have. But by the 5th dog themed insult, it was too late to back out.
But the insults weren't all bad, some of them were giving her something to think about… Something she needed her soulmate's help with.

There’s a certain feeling to it, Etho knows from experience.
A feeling where it clings to him, soft and thick and smothering. It sticks to every part of him, every part of his mind, his heart, dragging him downwards with heavy, inescapable hands.
He feels it when he least wants it because of course it does. Because it’s like that, petty thing that it is, always showing up when he least expects it, when he least needs it.
And it shows up now, wrapped around his brain in a way he might misinterpret as sleep. He could give into it, if he wanted. But he’s hesitant to. Not here. Not now.
