Gi-Hun watched in horror as the Jegi came to rest in a pool of blood, a few inches away from his and Young-Il’s outstretched foot. It was as if the world itself moved slower in those moments, fear seeping into his veins.
“Fail”
They missed, they failed, and they were dead. His eyes flickered between the faces of the men in his group; Dae-Ho, Jung-Bae, Young-Il, and the marine that had happily volunteered to join a team full of fellow marines. He doomed them all, with one missed kick he had just sealed their fates, and he only had himself to blame.

"Appa, I miss you," could be heard from the other side of the phone. Gihun sobbed, fat tears rolling down his face as he curled into himself.
From the other side of the screen, Inho watched, sipping Gihun's favourite soju, watching how Gihun broke down. Just watching, unable to do anything else, just like he had been doing every single day for over a year.

Gi-hun finally has a conversation with the Frontman where he begs and pleads with him to spare his allies, claiming it to all be his idea, that he should be punished for the lives lost.
Strangely, the Frontman does not kill Gi-hun.

It was sadistic, this whole thing. Wicked, that he’d even consider it.
But then, In-ho was already quite wicked, wasn’t he? He was not a religious man by any means, but if there truly was a hell waiting for him the minute he died, he didn’t doubt that he was already well on his way to going there. It didn’t matter what he did now, what he might do later.
The red in his ledger was far too deeply stained for him to ever fully wipe it clean.
It was too late for him. Far, far too late.
And he was only a man, after all.
Still a man. Nonetheless.

Summary
“I’m going to fucking kill you.” Gi-hun hisses, his voice breaking on the words.
In-ho stares up at him, his breathing uneven, and for a moment, something other than pain curls in his chest. “You’re so beautiful when you’re angry,” he says softly, his voice low and almost reverent.
It starts with a cold night and stolen moments in the dark - Gi-hun, wrapped up in Young-il, clinging to his warmth and whispered half-truths. But there's another man he can't stop thinking about, the one hiding behind a mask.
When he finally puts the pieces together, it should change everything. Instead, it changes him.
(aka: In-ho warns the guards about Gi-hun’s plans, and thus brings his little rebellion to the ground before it even starts. now he has to cuddle with his crush to stay warm - how unfortunate! especially because Gi-hun won't stop talking about how much he wants to kill him)

An alternitive end to S2. Gi-hun, in an attempt to stop Jung-bae from getting killed by the Front Man, is shot accidentally instead. In-ho immediately acts to save Gi-hun's life, and as he does, he reflects on Gi-hun's past actions in the game and how they parallel himself.
Starts in Gi-hun's POV and switches to In-ho's. Later in the story, it switches back and forth.

But it went around and it earnt a laugh or a smile, as it always did, and it made Law’s blood boil. Because he knew it wasn’t true and yet, impossibly, his crew didn’t. Uta stares at him. Just stares and stares – even as Hongo, Benn, and the others arrive. Hongo takes one look at Luffy and shakes his head. As Benn swears, Shanks buries his head into Luffy’s hair.
There’s blood, Luffy’s blood, on her hands. It’s still warm and drying. Flakes uncomfortably sticking to her skin, and buried deep under her fingernails. She killed Luffy.
“Uta.” Shanks is looking up at her (a monster who looks so much like a man. A monster who’s slaughtered thousands yet cries over one boy. Why hasn’t he killed her yet? Monster. Monster. Monster. Man. Father.) with tears in his eyes. “What happened?”
