Bakugo wrinkles his nose. “Isn't this where we got that All Might one?” Katsuki’s tried his fair share of All-Might-inspired sodas. That was the first one he ever tried that was banana flavored.“That banana one? It wasn't my favorite but it wasn't that bad.” He gasps dramatically when Katsuki stays silent. "You aren't seriously going to pass up on it because of that, are you? Just get a different hero!”
“The entire point of buying a hero soda is to get the soda of the hero you like the most,” He says as they approach the front of the store, “Why would I defeat that purpose to try ones that probably aren't any better?”or, alternatively,
cottage cheese waffles have a rare chance of doing more than upping protein.

“—Yeah?” Kirishimas breathed out, as if he knew, understood what he was going to say without even hearing the rest. Those dark eyes darted from Bakugo’s eyes, to his nose, to his mouth—that he knew had gone dry from how long it’d been open. “You think so?"

Eijirou Kirishima & Katsuki Bakugo turn to casual sex to relieve the stress of being detectives at the most major police department in Musutafu, Japan. Things are ok, until unfamiliar and unexpected feelings emerge.
Like when the kisses they give each other hold a little more passion than people that have no connection, or when the stares they give each other linger longer than people who have no strings attached.
It's the little details like that they continue to ignore, but it's hard to blame them, as it's often The Little Things that go unnoticed or ignored altogether, even when they may be the ones that matter the most in the end.

“Recovery is a slow path, and it takes time to heal,” Kishiko says, tapping their pen idly against the wooden top of the desk. “If you had a broken leg you wouldn't expect it to recover in a day, would you?” The teen shakes his head slowly, and Kishiko smiles encouragingly at him. “It takes time and rest, and in some cases physical therapy before you can walk properly on it again. Even then, with all that, it won't be exactly the same as it was before – but it's still healed, enough to pick yourself up and move on. Working through trauma is like that too, you have to be gentle with yourself and accept the progress you've made, however slow or however little.”
Kirishima learns to pick himself up after a traumatic event.

Katsuki Bakugou is loud and uncouth with a mouth of a sailor and frankly, Kirishima couldn’t wait for the end of the school semester—it meant he would finally be free of the explosive blond boy—but all of that changes when secrets are brought to the surface. Secrets that both boys had tried to bury. In a strange turn of events, Kirishima finds himself determined to help Bakugou heal from the burdens he has kept to himself, but he doesn’t realize that maybe, it wasn’t just Bakugou who needed to be healed. Maybe he needed to be saved too. And maybe, that’s why they needed each other.

Summary
After years of working abroad, Kirishima moves back to Japan to open his own agency, and things seem to be going well. There’s plenty of work, he gains popularity quickly, and it’s a relief to be back in his home country. Everything is perfect, until he runs into Bakugou on the scene of a villain attack.
Bakugou had been his best friend at U.A., but the two of them haven’t spoken for years. That had been Bakugou’s decision, not Kirishima’s, and he's still a little hurt by it. Regardless, it’s easy to put that aside in favor of rekindling his friendship with Bakugou. They fall back into a routine and it’s as if nothing has changed; including Kirishima’s old feelings for his best friend.
When a new pair of villains starts picking off heroes one by one, Kirishima feels that he and Bakugou are the best heroes to take the case. All the extra time they spend together hunting villains is great, except Kirishima feels like his heart is being ripped out every time Bakugou looks at him.- Language:

What a fun read! Final few chapters genuinely had me at the edge of my seat. Many things in this were genuinely unexpected!! Which doesn't happen a lot for me. I think everyone should read this at least once :)
