Summary
Dean wouldn’t go so far as to say he hated his boss—hate was a strong word—but loathed felt pretty damn close. The guy was rude in that quiet, brooding way that somehow made it worse, always brushing too close when there was plenty of room to go around. And then there was the face—sharp, sculpted, sinful. The kind of man who looked like he’d walked off the cover of GQ and straight into Dean’s unfortunate nine-to-five. Not that Dean had the latest issue tucked in his nightstand or anything.
Still, there were worse things than silently burning for your insufferably hot boss. Like, say, getting trapped in an elevator with him for four long, tense, maddening hours. Dean couldn’t decide which was worse: the loathing... or the way his eyes kept drifting down that annoyingly perfect jawline every damn time the lights flickered.

Summary
When Dean was a teenager, he fucked up. He got into a fight, got put into a hospital, and had to have John come pick him up. Then on the way home, a semi truck hit their car, killing John and paralyzing Dean. Since then, Dean's been pretty much dying--well, wanting to die, at least--in his shitty wheelchair, in his shitty apartment, in this shitty city he almost died in.
And then Sam drags him to student teacher conferences. And Dean meets Cas.
Cas is this weird substitute teacher who always, without fail, wears a suit, a backward tie, and a trench coat. He's got strange habits and mannerisms and a stranger family, but somehow he's the only one who can pull Dean out of the hole he's buried himself in.
He just hopes it isn't too late.

Summary
In the spring of 1944, the 104th Medical Battalion of the United States Army is disbanded, and its men reassigned to various infantry companies in preparation for their invasion of occupied France. For First Lieutenant Novak, this is less than helpful, as he has so far met his platoon’s designated medic a grand total of twice, and has both times found Sergeant Winchester to be the optimum combination of reckless, arrogant, and downright insufferable so as to make cohesive platoon function near impossible. When the time comes to move out, however, Castiel has to reconcile himself to the fact that men are going to go down and trust that Dean Winchester may well be the only person who can put them back together again.
