Summary
When they reentered the real world next week, Ilya’s guard would go back up. No one would know how deeply he loved this man. He would return to playing hockey, assimilating to a new team, and spending every spare moment working towards The Irina Foundation with Shane and Yuna. Ilya was grateful they were announcing the Foundation in a few months - he was tired of acting as though he and Shane were nothing but rivals. It wasn’t sharing everything with the world, but maybe a public friendship would ease the ache he felt every time he couldn’t speak openly and truthfully about Shane. He couldn’t show his love, but he could show his respect, and maybe that would be enough.
It didn’t have to be enough right now, though. They were alone, on the water at their cottage, and Ilya couldn’t help himself.

Remus felt his chest tighten. Surely, that’s not what he meant, surely it’s different.
“We all love him mate, but that—” James stammers, surprised.
“No, Prongs! Not like that," Sirius interrupted, "…I’m in love with him. I think I have been for a while now.”

Remus eavesdrops, Sirius apologizes, James makes a bet, and Lily is tired of all these idiots.
It takes place beginning of 6th year, after the Snape Whomping Willow Incident. There's some love magic soulmate-type stuff and smut towards the end.
