Summary
When Loki was taken back to Asgard after the attack of New York, everyone expected imprisonment or even execution for the God of Mischief. Loki himself assumed that was his fate. Though Odin had other plans. Sent to Earth with no magic and no disguise to protect him Loki was thrust into the care of one Tony Stark - the only Midgardian who stood up to the challenge. But Tony was less than a good guide for the lost god on Earth. Abandoned and left to fight for himself Loki faced a very human and powerful threat lurking in the shadows of New York. Will his new guide be there to save him in time?
This is not wholly my work. I read this plot ages ago in a fanfic that I now cannot find, and no-one seems to know if it exists/existed. I might have dreamt it up. I don't know. But I am convinced that this fic existed and I've taken the plot I remember and rewritten it as best as I can. This is not exactly how the original went, I have embellished/changed things to suit my writing style and how I would have taken the plot. If you know the author of the original/are the author of the original, please comment and let me know. I wanted to rewrite it because I wanted to reread it and couldn't.

Summary
Only a mage driven to insanity or desperation burned their own tissues for seidr.
Loki had far too much experience with both and even he wasn't fool enough.
But the Norns had never had mercy for the likes of Loki...Stripped of the body he'd always known, Loki is bound in his true form, that of a frost giant runt barely on the cusp of adolescence. Yet no one knows what lies under the false image of the disgraced second Prince of Asgard, certainly not Thor. Odin knows full well that Loki would not survive the truth of his lineage being uncovered, and he still had use of his stolen relic.
However – weak from months in Asgard's dungeon after barely recovering from Svartalfheim and Thanos' ministrations – Loki is stolen from Asgard's dungeons by Thor. As the only known wielder of two Infinity Stones, the Avengers hope to use Loki to uncover the reason behind their appearance on Earth. Especially in light of the Mind Stone taken form as their newest ally: the Vision.
But they are not the only ones who have use of a bound child mage.
