    Summary

"‘I concede, my Deliverer,’ Mydei said with a rare soft smile, reserved only for Phainon. ‘You won us this. Now take your reward. Walk on ahead, and I’ll find you, just as I promised.’
Oh. He remembered it, among all those cycles.
Phainon smiled that bright and sweet smile of his. ‘Now, now, we all won this. But… if you insist, then… I’ll see you soon!’"

A tale of two lovers finding and losing each other again and again, until finally the cycle breaks and they meet once more. Now, together, they face the new dawn.

    Summary

'It had been mere months since the two had met and Phainon spoke and behaved with such affection as if they’d known each other all their lives, and just as strange was how the familiarity of his presence seemed just as tied to Mydei as strife itself. Perhaps both were inevitabilities in his life.'
    Or
A look into a cycle where past memories and emotions blended into Mydei and Phainon's subconsciouses, causing them to feel drawn to each other and bond far quicker than either of them expected...

    Summary

    “‘You were cold…’ he whispers.
Mydei stiffens, then hums. This isn’t the first time Phainon has reacted to Mydei’s colder temperature, either. Those three words are enough to recall waking in a cold sweat to the Deliverer clinging to him like he’d slip away if he loosened his grip. When Mydei shifted and held Phainon that night, he shared a harsh truth for the first time: ‘I dreamed I was going through the cycles again. It… happens a lot,’ he’d confided in a quiet and small voice. ‘But this time, waking up like this, I-I really thought you were dead. That I killed you.’
And just like that night, Mydei holds him tighter, and tells him what he himself needs to hear just as much as Phainon does: ‘I’m okay. I’m alive. You’re here, with me.’”

    Or:

When suddenly awaking from a nightmare, Mydei finds himself securely enveloped by Phainon’s warmth. But when he feels him twitch and sees the bitterly familiar pained expression on his face, Mydei takes the initiative to comfort him in turn.

    Summary

Mydei’s legs unlock from around Phainon’s waist. Words aren’t needed for Phainon to understand his partner. He pulls out slowly and rolls to the side, allowing Mydei to stretch out his tired limbs, and have a well-earned rest for himself. Their panting slows to soft, even breathing together.

As in sync as they are, they are uncharacteristically quiet in their afterglow. Not because of any particular problem, no, everything they do together is fantastic because it’s between them.

Which is precisely why they’re both stuck in their own heads now.

One would believe their relationship and sex life to be perfect, all figured out, the two content with the rhythms they find themselves in.

But, unbeknownst to each other, they both want to disrupt their pattern.

Mydei really wants to top Phainon.

And Phainon really wants to be topped by Mydei.
