Lucas hasn’t ever worked with Demaury before, but he has heard of him, of course. He saw Demaury first in a small role in a modernized staging of Medea. As a professional in the theatre world, he appreciates Demaury’s talent. Eliott Demaury brings emotions to life effortlessly, and has a real connection to the audience. On a less professional note, as a… well, hot-blooded gay man, Lucas appreciates Eliott’s attractive features, slender waist, strong arms, crooked smirk and striking eyes probably even more than his talent.
When Daphné calls for “Eliott Demaury”, Lucas sits up a bit straighter. He is prepared to be blinded by the trademark megawatt smile of his crush. Lucas expects a confident, self-assured man, ready to claim his stake. Instead, in walks a boyish figure, almost hunched, in jeans and sneakers, with messy hair and what looks like paint stains on his hands.

“How the fuck am I supposed to know what to pick?”, Lucas mutters under his breath.
He has been standing in the aisle for close to twenty minutes now, his face scrunched up in absolute concentration as his eyes flit over the items on display.
He wishes, not for the first time since he got here, that he didn’t owe Mika two months of rent right now, because then he would not have been so easily blackmailed into doing this. Lucas sighs. Leave it to Mika to realise he’s run out of… supplies right before he and Camille are supposed to get home from their anniversary dinner. Just get to the store, kitten, pick up condoms and lube, and I’ll consider your debt paid – but bring the good lube, please, and enough condoms, it’s our anniversary after all!

Eliott is a Prince. The Crown Prince of France to be exact. A Royal. And Lucas is decidedly not. Not a Prince. And not at all impressed by the institution as a whole. No one should rule with that kind of wealth when there are children homeless in the street, when there are people begging for their every meal. Lucas has always felt as much. Which is why it’s terribly inconvenient when he’s offered a job at the Royal Palace and circumstances mean he has to take it. It’s even less convenient that the Prince is so nice. So nice and… mildly attractive. Mildly. He’s also a mess. A flirty, sheltered, privileged mess. It’s a good thing Lucas has things so under control.

Summary
Life hasn't been easy on Lucas and when he was left alone his only solution was to keep going, hoping something will come shake his life. Something did but not something he had expected or wanted.
It's not always easy to explain why you still look 18 when most people around you grow old and live their lives normally. So Lucas doesn't tell. He keeps it for himself that he hasn't found his soulmate yet and so couldn't age. It's 2019, Lucas decides to go back to university, looking 18 and fitting in the crowd just right. The problem? Lucas was born in 1951.
