“When are you gonna get back out there? As Spider-Man?” Yelena asked.
“Probably never.” Peter was reading an article from his laptop, most likely for school.
“Fury isn’t going to like that.”
He kept his eyes on the screen. “Don’t care.”
It's four years since Thanos attacked Upstate New York, Endgame. Peter Parker tries his best to move forwards as Spider-Man since the death of his mentor, but soon his Aunt May dies because of Spider-Man's fight.
He throws in the towel, Spider-Man stops appearing in Queens, and Peter is off to UChicago on scholarship. His life in a new city is supposed to be a fresh start, but Nick Fury keeps sending Yelena Belova to recruit Spider-Man onto the New Avengers. His unprocessed grief shows him the true meaning of Spider-Man, but first he has to actually agree to join.

Summary
Five years have passed, and half of the universe's population has been brought back. Peter Parker wakes up on Titan all alone. The Goddess of Mischief, Sylvie, comes to save him after Peter's team had left him alone in space, or that's what he thinks. He and Sylvie become partners through space and time, causing problem after problem, and once Loki and Mobius catch onto these Nexus Events, only they can interfere to save Peter and get him back to Earth and with the Avengers. But Peter doesn't know he needs to be saved.

“I don’t want you to be better. I just want you to be yourself. And right now I have a feeling that’s not where you are right now.”
Peter Parker has entered his early 20's lost and trying to find purpose. Tony Stark just wants to be there for Peter and help him as much as he can. Unfortunately, you can't help people who don't want to be helped. Peter's moods are a roller coaster and finds stability in drinking, but soon things catch up to him as he begins to crash and burn. Tony swoops in to understand Peter's displacement patterns and Peter needs to learn it's okay to be vulnerable.
