Summary
There's nothing quite like the feeling of having a collar around your neck. Nothing quite like the feeling of submitting all control to another person and watching them as they gaze down at you, sadistic and unforgiving. There's a euphoria in feeling completely helpless— completely at someone else's disposal, being used solely for their own pleasure. At least for Ness, that is.

"Damn, you too?” Shidou announced, leaning on the cold bathroom wall tiles. He would’ve laughed if the situation weren’t so pathetic. The teary boy glanced up at him, rolling his eyes, seemingly pissed at the world.
“Don’t lump me with your problems, Ryusei. I wasn’t ditched by a fucking midfielder.” Ness snapped back, spitting out ‘midfielder’ like it was a dishonorable position, spitting it out like he, himself, wasn't one.
Or: Shidou and Ness find each other in a hopeless situation, and trying to make their nonchalant "boyfriends" (They can hope) jealous.

William didn’t let it show, but that did take him by surprise—he thought he’d been doing a pretty decent job concealing that particular side of him.
“Oh, do I give it away that easily?” he responded without missing a beat. “My self-defense tutor would be disappointed—my brothers insisted we hire him after I was kidnapped some time ago. He always said the element of surprise was to be my best weapon.”
Sherlock smirked, probably seeing right through him.
“Clever man,” he conceded, but William knew he wasn’t talking about his “tutor”. He was forced to suppress yet another smile. Damn you, Holmes.
We didn't have enough sherliam interactions in canon that were just "I know you know I know you know, but I have to pretend that I don't know" so I'm here to add some more (this fic is pretty much just a love letter to the catch me if you can scene).
But also: what if Sherlock figured out what William's planning just a little earlier?
