Summary
No, Queen Alicent did not oft think of her lust, but she did think of Rhaenyra, as she seemed unable to stop doing so on that unusual day. She wondered what the Princess might be doing at this hour in Dragonstone; in the salty coldness of the island, so small in the middle of the sea. Years ago Alicent would not have had to wonder such things, for she used to see the Princess constantly in Red Keep, much as these encounters had been inevitably embedded in a thick layer of estrangement, resentment, or cruelty. Today, there was no estrangement, nor resentment, nor cruelty: only absence.
Alicent and desire.

Summary
As she felt her dream fading, the Princess got up to wash her face in the herbal water of the basin next to the divan. She thought about her mother and tried long and hard to mold the dead woman’s face in her mind, and next, to mold memories of her, but the details eluded Rhaenyra like the water through her fingers.
Rhaenyra, her past and her present.

Summary
The guards and servants went on searching the castle to find the little Prince, and for a brief moment she was left in her chambers with Helaena, who had awoken with the commotion and was now weeping. Alicent knew that if she attempted to hold her, she would only cry further, thus she wished that her daughter would also disappear so that she could finally be alone.
Alicent and her womb.

Madeline, who Death also adores, is different. Her flesh is hard, her mind pure concrete, and she possesses a stomach in the place of her heart, hungry and insatiable. So when the end of her story comes, Death will embrace her like a little piece of her own body that has torn itself loose, roomed through the world, and is finally coming home, for she herself is the hungriest and most insatiable thing in the universe.
The little piece doesn't want to come back: it wants to stroll alone forever, but that's not how things work.Young Madeline thinks of Death often. And Death, even always so busy, tries to find a little time for her whenever she can.

Summary
"You're a fool, Utena Tenjou," Kozue says to her, once.
"Geez. Why’s that?"
"You're just like Miki," she strokes a blue bird that sleeps in the palm of her hand, "You think these things from the past will remain as they are forever; that they’ll wait for you. They won't. You'll see: one day, you will forget."
She lets the bird go; it flies somewhere else.Utena gets so, so close to remembering.

Summary
They arrive in the capital in the late afternoon, with the orange light of the sunset reflecting in the waters of the pier, the noises of twilight movements in the city, the smell of salt and chimneys spitting smoke, the bumpy alleys, the lamplighters lighting the poles for when night falls. It's all so familiar (...) maybe she's twenty-two years old again and will have to wake up early tomorrow for her servitude duties. Or maybe she's nineteen, begging her father to recognize her talent for the royal guard. Maybe she’s fifteen, dreaming of meeting distant lands and rescuing princesses. Maybe she's twelve, training every day with her first and dear sword. Maybe she's nine, playing through the eastern streets of the city, looking for insects among the cobblestones.
Maybe she still has Rapunzel with her.
Cassandra returns to Corona after twenty years.
