Summary
“I just thought since your Bobby taught you, maybe you could teach me,” Chris shrugs.
“Yeah,” Buck breathes. “Yeah, I’d love to do that.”
Chris nods once, happy with the answer. “Can we do mac n cheese next?”
“Uh uh uh!” Buck tuts. “There’s a system. We start with breakfast.”Or, Buck passes Bobby's recipes down to Chris and finds a whole lot of other things in the process.

Summary
“I think I know a secret,” Theo says, voice now softened to a whisper.
“Oh, you do?” Theo beckons him forward, so Chris makes a big show of leaning towards him.
“Buck and Eddie make each other happy,” Theo whispers. “They’re married.”
-----
Buck and Eddie are not married. They really should be, though. Chris and Theo help with that.

Summary
“What are you going to try to make me like today?” Eddie knew Buck's game by now, the zoo always meant a new bug for Buck to show Eddie and tell him all the things he knew about it.
“What do you mean?” Faux confusion – very bad faux confusion.
“Which bug this time?” Eddie's shoulder brushed his slightly, their height difference evident at their shoulders, Eddie's shoulder fell just below Bucks, but Eddie was still a big guy. Sometimes Buck felt smaller, never in a bad way, he liked feeling smaller than someone he was attracted to.

Summary
“Alright,” Eddie shrugs, laissez-faire. He pulls Buck’s plate to the center of the table; pushes his own forward in kind. Then he begins a drawn-out circus routine of plucking an olive at a time up and out of the bowl and plopping them onto their respective dishes, one by one.
The delicate, repetitive movement of Eddie’s pinched fingers reminds Buck of picking the petals off of flowers. He loves me. He loves me not. He love—
An olive hits him square in the forehead.
“There,” Eddie says, resolute, as the pitted projectile tumbles to the ground at Buck’s feet. “Equal treatment.”
Or: Buck, Eddie, and the olive theory. Well, in theory.
