So when a shooter came in the school, Lexa doesn't think twice and uses her own body to protect as many as them as possible.
But even with a strong will, she can't save them all.

"When you put it in those exact words, it sounds really, really bad." Clarke sighs.
"No," Murphy jabs a finger at her, tilting his head to the side, sounding so unbelievably disappointed. "It sounds really, really bad because it is really, really bad. You just didn't say it out loud. Or spend more than two seconds thinking about it. Where are the soulmarks, Clarke? Where are they? Did you think about that? Or the fact that you're going to have to lie even more? Or the fact that you're either going to have to tell Mom and Dad that you broke it off, that you lied to them in the first place, which isn't an actual option, or that you're going to have to find someone to play pretend with you?"
Clarke heaves a sigh, closing her eyes so she doesn't have to look at his stupid fucking face. "Shut up, Murphy."
