    Renata “Rook” de Riva arrives in small town Tuscany to try and reconnect with the place her long dead mother spent most of her life.     A year spent as a prisoner of the Cosa Nostra has left mafia hitman Lucanis Dellamorte with deep psychological (and physical) scars. He arrives in the little town of Montepulciano at his grandmother’s behest in hopes of healing his body and mind. While he intends to spend his respite in solitude, he soon finds himself falling into Rook’s orbit. In her, Lucanis begins to see a way forward. The chance for a peaceful life. But his past won’t let him go and soon it aims its crosshairs at Rook.
