"Why do you not eat?" Jughead asked, voice low and causing Veronica to jolt up in the middle of the dark kitchen.
"I don't know what you mean"
"Exactly what I said. You're not eating. You never eat at school and you haven't eaten much at dinner either. That salad doesn't count, and I refuse to believe that you're having a stomach bug, for months already"
Well, she should have guessed that someone would catch up on it, though she hadn't expected it to be Jughead of all people. The two were the least closest in that friend group of theirs. Most of the time, she felt like he didn't even acknowledge her existence.
"I don't know what you mean. I eat at school"
"No, you don't. You have never eaten at school once, ever since you arrived in Riverdale. So, why do you not eat, Veronica?" He asked, his eyes fixed on hers. The girl sighed, choosing to turn around and finally grasp her glass of water.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. And frankly, I'm tired. Goodnight, Jughead"
And with that, she was out of the room.

Her eyes shoot up and she spins to look around the room. No one.
She lets out a breath turning slowly back to the sink. Her eyes flick up the mirror and Jughead Jones is stood behind her, staring directly at her.

Jughead Jones is dead and he’s haunting Veronica.
