Summary
“At least I won’t die alone…” And like Jahoda was hit by a Snezhnayan train, light consumed her and a cramp made itself at home in her lower belly as she struggled to breathe through the pain as she taught herself to long ago.
“Jahoda, you seem to be much worse than what Lady Moonchanter described to me.”
“INEFFA WHAT ARE YOU?!?”
or
Ineffa puts her "help Jahoda with period cramps" protocol to the highest test.

Summary
“Welcome,” Ineffa said politely, her voice soft and modulated but undeniably warm. “Table for one?”
“Uhm,” Jahoda managed, which was not a word so much as a vowel having a crisis.
Jahoda’s cheeks warmed with humiliation. This was awful. She was fulfilling every stereotype Nefer joked about. Lesbian disaster of the century.
And then— “Yes. No. I mean— yes. I mean I’m home— sorry. I mean I’m not sorry. I mean— table?” She wanted to die.
“Right this way,” Ineffa replied as though Jahoda had spoken normally.
Or: Jahoda learns that maybe Nefer’s ideas aren’t always the worst.

Summary
Kaveh returns from a trip in the ruins in the late hours of the night, and slowly finds out that maybe, maybe it hadn't been an ordinary trip in the desert.
There are times when my longing for you overwhelms me [...] so often that I can think of you only with teeth clenched

He looks the same as he always has. Silver-washed, as though he melted out of moonlight to join Kaname on a walk through the woods; soft, and faintly wild, and all of sixteen.

Summary
“My humble apologies, Imperator,” Hysilens says, her voice rasping unpleasantly—still so unaccustomed to the human tongue. She clears her throat, pressing a hand to her chest. “To see that fish in the blackness where the sun’s rays dare not shine… it is as a star; radiant in the depths of the sea. Not unlike your blazing light, which guided me to shore.”
Cerydra takes a long sip of her glass, only to fall silent. Golden ichor drips from the corner of her mouth, and Hysilens resists the urge to reach out, and…
“Were you truly so allured?” Cerydra murmurs, shattering the silent moment almost off-handedly—which is strange—no action of the Imperator's is impromptu in the slightest. She is an angler, a chessmaster. She is patient, composed, and she does not err lightly.
But Cerydra blinks as she looks to Hysilens, as if she too is struck with momentary surprise at her own tongue. Her breath is sweet, and warm against her siren’s scales. And Hysilens nods.
“Yes,” she whispers, for none but her light to hear. “I was.”
"Twist the knife, Helektra."
