Summary
There wasn’t anything particularly special about that day. Everything had its place and nothing out of the ordinary occurred for Midoriya. As far as he was concerned it was just another average day at UA. He couldn’t even begin to imagine how just one moment could change his life forever. Sure, gaining One for All from All Might seemed to be the biggest event that could ever happen in his relatively short lifespan. Not to mention the numerous villain fights he’s been involved in. But this? He never could have prepared for something this drastic. It would surely follow him around for the rest of his life, and even beyond that.

A surprise college project tests that theory when Izuku is paired with Bakugou Katsuki. The crude man quickly becomes the catalyst that helps Izuku break free from everything he's ever known; however, he must choose between the man he's mysteriously drawn to, and the world he is already accustomed to.

But Izuku is already shaking his head. His head spins, and he regrets the movement, but not his answer.
“You,” he croaks out.
The room goes quiet.
“I want to stay with you.”
Or, the Aizawa adopts Izuku fic where Inko is still loved, All Might is trying his best, Izuku never loses One For All, and the mortifying ordeal of becoming a family is slow, complicated, and painful, but ultimately worth it.

“He’s in danger.” Todoroki stated, it wasn’t a question.
“We all are.” She tilted her head. “You have held pain in your heart for too many years. You’ve lived enough to confirm your fears. But hold onto faith, young one. The time of peace for you will come.”
