“Mr. Liu,” Xingqiu said in warning. “The Guild is a very powerful enemy to make. Please step back.”
“My company will be just as powerful, and then what?” Mr. Liu laughed. Xingqiu could smell his breath, he was so close.
In an instant, so quick that Xingqiu could blink and miss it, the tip of a blade stabbed the ground between Mr. Liu’s feet.
“I believe he told you to step back.”
Xingqiu’s head shot up at the sound of the voice, a touch foreign but wholly familiar. Chongyun. His heart started to race so hard he was afraid it was audible.Or; Chongyun has been gone for nine years. So much has changed and yet, the one that that seemingly hasn't is Xingqiu's heart.

It's clear as day to Xingqiu, even if he's not sure how it happened - at some point during his speech, Chongyun had been sent into his yang energy state, and from the looks of it, he's really gone and made him flustered.
Oh dear.
"Can you keep talking? I'm so, soooooo sorry, I just-" Chongyun lets out a high, uncharacteristic giggle, bordering on sounding drunk with how his words are slurred and his head sways back and forth. "-I got completely distracted staring at you."

And maybe Mayoi had most definitely fallen asleep by now, because Tatsumi was looking back at him, and he’d never been graced with a more beautiful sight than that moment.
