    Eddie felt tears pricking at his eyes, felt his throat tighten. He looked down at the table.

    “Eddie?” Bobby prompted.

    A tear fell down Eddie’s cheek. “We were getting married.” He said lamely, voice cracking.

    There is a subtle burning sensation as if someone were slowly setting fire to each muscle and nerve cell of his shoulder. For a moment, he is certain that the flesh of his arm has caught on fire. He gasps, clenching his jaw tight–

    “Ravi?” May’s sleepy voice sounds out across the living room.
