Enamored openly instead of swallowing it all, drinking down all that’s beautiful and golden and right about Thanos to soothe what’s rotten about himself, to fill in any and all of the gaps. To own and claim and take from – give – to have Thanos warm and all his in his hand.
To own anything at all. To taste what it is to mean something, to show someone what they mean back. Common ground in the ugly. Craving, need. Love, in some twisted, too soon way. Intense and right away and all Nam-gyu has, no matter how desperate and disgusting devotion looks on him. The way it twists itself into what surely comes off as begging. Pathetic.
Or: five times that Nam-gyu loves Thanos so much that he doesn't know what to do with all of it, and the one time he does.

“...But do you ever want more?”
All of a sudden, Thanos feels a little dumb. “Huh?”
“Like–” Nam-gyu stalls, as do his antennae, as he thinks. “More than this. More than me. You could go anywhere, do anything. You don’t have to stay cooped up here if you ever... I don’t know. If you ever wanted to go. You know?”
And – nah. Thanos doesn’t know. He bumps Nam-gyu’s body with his own again.
“No way. I only want you.”
A beat.
“Even like this?”
Or: Nam-gyu, Thanos, a potato chip, and the great big world they don't quite understand.
But maybe it's okay if they don't try to.

“Nam-su–”
“Thanos.” Nam-gyu doesn’t even look at him. Can’t, won’t – has to keep his eyes forward. “Do you want everyone to know where we are? Be quiet.”
Thanos laughs. It’s bright and airy, and it echoes. Doesn’t even give a shit.
“Me-ow, alright. Chill.”
Chill. Chill? Nam-gyu grits his teeth. Fucking chill – how classic. Nam-gyu’s heard that one plenty of times. Never fucking deserved, either. Screw him for having feelings about anything, ever. Always. Too loud when he speaks, too quiet when he doesn’t, so where does that leave him?
Some fight-to-the-death style kiddie games, that’s where. Playing at something with some guy that invites total losers to hang around with them and thinks it’s funny to pretend – hopefully it's pretend, anyway – to forget Nam-gyu’s name. Fuck his entire life.
Or: Thanos hides, Nam-gyu seeks.
