Zhang Hao knows Hanbin won’t do anything, not here, where anyone could walk in and see them. He’s good like that. Zhang Hao knows he won’t act, but he wants to make him want. He wants the hunger in Hanbin’s eyes when he looks him up and down, slow and methodical, like he’s cataloguing every inch of Hao’s body and saving the information for later, his brain picturing every way his hands will touch and grab and hold; he wants Hanbin’s controlled fingers around his waist when they take a water break, tightening around it just so when Hao reaches over to towel his forehead dry, because he likes taking care of Hanbin just as much as he likes being taken care of by him; he wants the way Hanbin will sometimes slide that same hand down and over the swell of his ass and squeeze, because he knows he’s the only one who can.

Summary
Zhang Hao doesn’t understand why the literature always talks about fireworks. There are no explosions inside him, no grand revelation, no bombastic feeling of accomplishment. It’s a slow, ever-present burn, it’s a comforting orange-toned light, it’s warmth radiating in the centre of his chest, whenever Hanbin is close, whenever he thinks of him. Fairy lights, he thinks, not fireworks.

San returns from the stylist’s chair with strands of blonde hair licking his forehead and smoked-out shadow on his bottom lash line. It’s almost overkill for such a soft look, but whatever the stylist decides, goes. Wooyoung’s watching him across the room, expression candid. San swallows down the lump in his throat and thinks over his footwork, perfecting the extra details while in line. Why is this so hard? Wooyoung is making it hard. They’re usually fine. Professionals. Why is everything so complicated lately?

Summary
The first thing Hanbin notices is that Zhang Hao looks just as luminescent under the waning dusk light as he does under the moon. Perhaps it’s just an innate quality of his, perhaps it isn’t the moon at all, but a sort of lunar countenance that he inherently possesses.
And it keeps Hanbin in fervent rapture now, unable to look away even when he knows he should. He hasn’t been able to look away for years.
Or, despite perilous dangers and dark secrets, Zhang Hao and Hanbin realize even among shadows it happens: the coming of love.

Summary
He thinks that maybe if he never met Hanbin, this vision of love would've eventually faded away and been replaced with something safer. As he grew older that fantasy would've been beaten against the rocks until the jagged edges were flattened out, until all that was left was the smoothness of normalcy. He could run a tentative finger across it and not have to pop that finger into his mouth to staunch the blood flow. But where's the fun in that?
Zhang Hao only wants one thing for himself.
