Pete’s face felt too hot suddenly, his heart hammered in his chest so hard that Pete was worried Mikey might hear it somehow, even though that was physically impossible.
Except that Mikey’s eyes dropped to stare a hole into his chest, eyes fixed right over where his heart was pounding, and his grin grew a little sharp, his eyes dilated ever so slightly and it looked like that he could hear every pound, every rush of blood locked in his chest.

In the depths of rainy evenings, rustling forest branches, and the capitol town of Oregon, lies a mystery that Gerard refuses to acknowledge. They continue to lather up in sunscreen, sporting long-sleeves, shivering in the cold that used to not bother them as much. They couldn't stand the thought of being alone, yet it is what they were destined to be. Glistening skin meets musty fur, a creature among beasts, none of them catering remorse.
Frank is nothing but an anxious wreck, native to this town and a regular receiver of stomachaches and looks to being Your Local (Secret) Graffiti artist for hope. Ominous spray-paintings litter surfaces without tag, and trees wear nothing more than claw marks. Being an expert at hiding nerves is great until the night sky gets too bright.
