    Summary

He hadn’t expected much for his birthday. The guys made him dinner, Axl made a cake, and the guys gave him a few presents, but other than that, he wasn’t expecting a whole lot. It's what he was used to for every birthday, anyways. This year would be no different.

    or

Duff makes Izzy's birthday a bit more interesting.

    Summary

Izzy always knew he loved Duff. He kept that love in silence for years, in notebooks full of lyrics he never showed anyone, in furtive glances and a tight heart. Duff, oblivious as always, never noticed, until the summer when everything changed.

Update October 8th, 2026: Hey everyone, I’ve added the moodboard I made for this story! I hadn't done it before because I only posted the story on Tumblr in June, whereas I posted it here on ao3 a little earlier. 💛
