Summary
What if everything you dreamed for yourself was wrong?
Luz has always been a study machine with a single goal: the college of her dreams. Nothing will stand in her way: not friends, not a big secret, and not even the person she really is.
But when Luz meets Amity, the shy, intelligent girl behind her favorite podcast, she discovers a new freedom. She unlocks the door to the real Luz, and for the first time, Luz has a true friendship where she can be herself. And then the trust between them is shattered.
Caught between who she was and who she wants to be, Luz's dreams seem to be slowly being destroyed. Suffocating with guilt, she knows she has to confront her past... She knows she needs to confess why Emira and Edric disappeared.
Luz discovers that she needs to be herself to find happiness. And she will need every ounce of courage she has.
