As the door behind me closes with a loud thud, I walk towards the mess of sheets and pillows, its insides seemingly illuminated by an orange, candid light. The smell of flowers just gets stronger as I enter that fort, my body making its way through the uneven terrain. They're not from Anakt Garden—no, they're wild and stubbornly planted to the earth. My mind wanders, and that's when I see her. Mizi lying on the mattress unmoving, I caress her face and move her hair aside, and mumble.
“Are you awake?”
(Shine and Nigeh strike a deal to breed Mizi and Sua together. Happens before the 50th Alien Stage. Alpha!Sua, Omega!Mizi. Mizi POV first person.)

They bury their face in their hands. A choked sob emerges from that shielded grasp. “Stop. Just stop. Please, Sua, please, just be yourself. Go back to normal. You lived after all this time, didn’t you? That’s why you’re here. So why are you acting like this? Why?”
“This is who I am,” says S2a britterly, fingers tracing the indentation on her neck. She traces the lines and curves etched into her skin—SUA. But she’s seen all the ads, the commercials she sang snippets for and the billboards she posed for, singing, dancing, happy, always happy: S2a, the new and improved pet-human. Now graced with stronger vocals, more stamina, and enhanced visuals, she’s the finest pick on the market. “I don’t know who else to be. I don’t know how else to be. I don’t know what I can do for you. I’m sorry, Master.”
Or, Sua’s not quite the way she’s meant to be anymore, and Mizi doesn’t know what to do about it.

“OH MY GOD I have been waiting for this moment for YEARS Sua I’m your biggest fan!!”
Here it comes.
“I’ve been a fan ever since your first show I-” The young fan’s words are cut off by a burst of sobs. Crocodile tears travel down her cheeks as she wails, mouth agape like a baby bird waiting to be fed.
All Sua can do is hold her hand to her heart and offer an apologetic smile. “Oh, sweetheart don’t cry! It’s so lovely to meet you, what’s your name?”
The cycle continues like this for a full 90 minutes. The cut off was supposed to be an hour max, 30 minutes at minimum.
Ninety minutes of “you saved my life!” Bullshit.
Ninety minutes of tragic sob stories as if she cared at all.
Ninety minutes of signing and signing and signing her own stupid name over and over again.
Ninety. Minutes. Of hell.

”It hurts,” she says, her voice pained, as if momentarily coming to her senses. Mizi mouths it directly into the base of one of Sua’s floppy ears, a hand coming to gently stroke Sua’s face. “‘M sorry.”
And it must, if Sua can already feel her own core blooming with an untended ache, antsy and sensitive when she herself is only beginning to feel an induced heat take hold of her senses. “I know, I know.” Sua huffs, partly in commiseration. “You’re in rut, aren’t you?”
Or, Sua is very lucky that her wolf girlfriend is awful at lying and fantastic at sex.
