“Oh, no you don’t have to-”
She ignores him, digging her hand into the front pocket of her skirt, “Here,” dropping a locket into Will’s hand, she flashes him a toothy smile.
“No really, you shouldn’t be giving strangers stuff-”
“We’re not strangers anymore, are we?” she tilted her head to the side, “We’re friends now, Will.”
Oddly, it sends a chill down Will’s spine. Like something is wrong.
But the little girl in front of him makes him force away suspicion. And it wasn’t Henry, he was sure of it when his neck did not erupt with painfully uncomfortable goosebumps.
Will sighs, “I still shouldn’t—”
”Will!”
(Or, amidst Vecna's threat on Hawkins, Will tries his best to stay under the radar. Useless to everyone, he makes sure to keep all doors locked. Yet, something else seems to creep in through the window that had been jammed open.)

“Will…”
“Just forget it, Mike,” Will says, sick of interpreting the expressions flickering across Mike’s face, sick of looking for signals and overanalyzing and dreaming and hoping. “Forget it.”

Will doesn't let him finish, words landing heavy.
“… What letter?”
Mike stops pacing. His face drains in a second. He doesn’t answer.
There's a new possibility. A terrible one.
