Summary
The rest of the meeting proceeds uneventfully: in even tones they discuss their acolytes, and then their plans to spread their faith like a wildfire across the coast. They all affect an air of civility, of superiority even, as if their fellow Chosen are but poorly wrangled children.
You think, in the privacy of your own mind, though that is not very private at all, that the Absolute has chosen Her champions poorly. For a moment, the Absolute’s song grows louder in your ears, from neuron to neuron her hymn echoes. Beneath it, laughter chimes in a woman’s voice.
A look at the shifting alliance of the Dead Three’s Chosen after the Dark Urge’s demise, as seen through the eyes of Minthara.

Summary
“You see, we share a friend, our dear Bhaalspawn, and I merely wish to inform myself on her…condition. If this,” he gestures vaguely to his head with a twirl of the hand, “is but a temporary set back, or if she is...diminished in any way.”
“I fail to see how I could help you.”
“You’ve traveled with her for some time, as part of her colorful ragtag group of oddities. You must have some opinions, and that is all I ask for.”
Gortash ‘invites’ Minthara to attend a late-night rendezvous to pry some information about the newly returned Dark Urge. Things move on from there in unexpected directions.

Summary
Bhaals's chosen was restless: away from her hunting ground her blood-gluttony maddened her. It demanded an outlet, or would carve one for itself like a newly birthed gnoll.
Ketheric had offered to provide…relief. It mattered not to him if she skinned, immolated or disemboweled him. He would crawl back to Moonrise Towers skinless, scorched or gored, and resume his duty anew.
The Dark Urge grows restless with nothing to butcher. Ketheric Thorm offers to provide relief, in more ways than one.

Summary
But Ketheric sees her for what she is: an empty gauntlet that her father occasionally sees fit to wear and with it form a rending fist. When not, the pitiful creature is left jittering and empty. She prays to father, and asks for his blessing, more often for his forgiveness; every time Bhaal acquiesces, something of the girl is hollowed out. Bhaal’s Chosen knows no other loving touch than the uprooting of something. She thinks Ketheric can provide the same; he thinks he can, too.
Ketheric Thorm goes to receive his blessing from Myrkul, and witness his daughter Isobel live again. When that doesn't go strictly according to plan, the Dark Urge finds him.

Summary
Callista Curnow is unremarkable. She's a twenty-something freelance tutor with no particularly glamorous clients, she lives by herself, and has only one living family member. But sometimes unremarkable is exactly what catches a person's attention. And Callista Curnow has caught the attention of a dangerous man - with uncertain motives.
Empress Jessamine Kaldwin was murdered nearly a year ago by her closest confidante, and nobody has seen her daughter since. But a girl needs a teacher, and Daud is nothing if not a thoughtful jailor.

Summary
Tunon has always been one for expeditious solutions. Sending Fatebinder Charis into Vendrien's Well has two purposes: the fulfillment of the Edict, and the severance of his illogical, illicit attachment to her. It is efficient, and it is perfect.
And, like all plans involving her, it fails.
