Summary
Ekko hates her, the one who overtook the body of the girl he loved. The one who chose the monster over him. He hates her, he swears he does, Jinx killed Powder after all. But when he found her broken body near the burning council tower, he couldn’t just leave her there, even when she didn’t care if she lived or died.
On the other side of the mirror, another version of him lives a peaceful life with her. She who never crossed the monster's path. She who never became Jinx.

There comes a time in your life when you are faced with a choice. A choice between succumbing to what's easy, and what you know. A choice to stop fighting, to reach an end of your miserable existence, and just let go. When people are broken, they get a similar chance. One to get worse, or one to get better.
What is someone takes the chance to get better, but everything just gets worse? After all, if you stop being a jinx to others, that jinx will turn inwards onto you.
TDLR; Jinx, after 'playing around' for about a month, is mind-controlled by Singed in a test of loyalty. She fails, just to wake up and break the container holding Rio. Now in their place, Jinx is being used as the sole surviving source of shimmer. After all, "The mutation must survive"
