Summary
TK watches Carlos squeeze a quartered lime slice in a tight fist, the juice dripping over his fingers to spill into the glass below, and tucks his bottom lip between his front teeth. A fresh cherry is dropped on top of the ice, and the peachy-toned mocktail is pushed over to TK’s side of the bar.
“Enjoy,” Carlos smiles widely at TK.
TK has to take a few moments to calibrate his brain and uses the few seconds it takes to grab one of the black paper straws to will the blood flow to return to his brain.

Summary
The last time Carlos saw TK was eleven months ago in a cramped hotel room in Prague, two days after they fled from Berlin and the near slip up there that would’ve cost them at least ten years behind bars.
Eleven whole months since they were the best duo in the business, swiping works of art from museums all over the world without so much as a trace. Eleven months since Carlos thought they were hopelessly in love and then TK walked out on him without looking back.
Until now, that is.
