Summary
Marriage is never supposed to be an easy-going experience. While it will always have its ups and downs, married couple Alfred and Ivan are towards their breaking point. Toxic fights, jealously, and almost impenetrable emotional walls, there's no doubt that something has to change. With threats of divorce in the air, the pair seek help to save a relationship that they desperately don't want to end. However, working on themselves proves to be easier said than done, as old wounds and traumas make it challenging for them both to evolve. Alfred F. Jones is the best math student in the school, and Ivan Braginsky is the best writer.
Unfortunately, Alfred can't write to save his life, Ivan can't do algebra to save his, and they both hate each other.
But when their grades start slipping, and their learning specialist forces them to tutor each other, the obvious solution is simple: trade skills, survive the semester, and go back to ignoring each other.
It would probably work better if they didn't keep seeing things about each other that they were never supposed to.
Or: two academic rivals discover that hating each other is much easier from a distance.
