“Did I do something wrong?” Mike questions, mouth twisted in a frown, eyes less wide than they were a few moments ago, sleepiness gone. His arms stay at his sides, although his fingers fiddle with his sleeves. “What did I do wrong?”
Will frowns back. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
Mike doesn’t look like he believes him. Will doesn’t blame him. “Then why do you keep leaving?”
The world ends, and then some. Mike and Will find each other again, amidst the debris and distance.

“I’ve met someone.”
“As in… a boy?” Mike asked, even though he dreaded the answer that was about to come.
“Yes, Mike. As in a boy.”
Mike felt like he was about to throw up. “That’s… great, I’m so happy for you!” He tried his best to make it sound believable. It must have been convincing enough, because Will smiled wider than ever before. Instead, this time, Mike’s heart felt like it was breaking. Why was he feeling like this?
Will finds a boyfriend in college, and Mike has a hard time accepting it. He realized his feelings a little too late, but tries (and fails) to still feel happy for his best friend. As if it wasn’t bad enough, said boyfriend turns out to be Mike’s very weird and annoying roommate, whom he absolutely despises.
