Summary
Six-year-old Zelina Du'ahn is a slave child on Tatooine and best friend to Anakin Skywalker. The two of them have dreamt of leaving their planet and a life of slavery far behind to live lives of adventure for as long as they can remember. One day, they're handed the opportunity to do just that in the form of Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, stranded on their rock of a home planet. But the two young children have no idea what they've just gotten themselves in for, or how difficult breaking away from their old life to start anew will truly be.

Summary
“I can’t believe you don’t trust me,” said Vurika, sounding wounded. “Vurawn, this is my darkest secret, you know? I’ve never told anyone before.”
“That’s what you told me when you said you turn into a cavehog at the full moon.”
Vurika turned her head away, but it was too late. Vurawn could tell she was smiling: he’d seen the tiny crinkles at her eyes and the twitching at the corner of her mouth.
“And I did not believe you,” he said firmly, his face going hot.

Summary
Maul has been terrified, ever since he was a young child first entering the Temple, that one day his former master would come for him, rip him out of the arms of the Jedi, and kill everyone he holds dear.
The Force is clouded, the galaxy darker, and war is here. Maul cannot escape the feeling that his master is watching him wherever he goes, waiting for him to fall, so that he can take revenge against his former apprentice.
