    Summary

Ekko could simplify it, debase and demystify it, insult it to all hell and call this feeling love.

Home is blue and his love is blue and Ekko wants to claw out his eyes and give them to Jinx if it meant she could, for a moment, see herself in the ways that Ekko sees her.

He stresses over this more than he’d ever admit.

[Or, what happens when Ekko saves Jinx from the edge.
Including the before, the in-between, and the after.]

    Summary

“I think we got off on the wrong foot,” he says, folding his arms on the table. “Maybe we should get to know each other first so we can work on our differences.”

Geto doesn’t spare him a glance, his eyes fixed on his laptop screen. “Oh, yeah?”

“Yeah.” He’s read this on the internet before—an article on building trust in the workplace through honesty and transparency. He decides to put his own twist on it, pulling an account from his childhood. “When I was younger, my over-glorified nanny used to put me in the corner to think about what I’ve done. She used the word ‘reflecting.’”

“Like a time out?” Geto interjects. “Sounds just like you.”

    “I’m not finished.”

Partnered up in an ethics class, Geto and Gojo navigate through young adulthood, physical relationships, and maybe even love.

    “Yo, Satoru.”

Getou Suguru looks older. His hair is longer. He still has the same small scar along the left side of his forehead from 2013. It’s fainter, now, than it was then.

    “It’s been a while.”

It's been seven years, but who's keeping count?

    Summary

Satoru watched his future self cradle the broken body of the man he loved. He pushed the hair out of Suguru’s face and tenderly touched his cheek. Then he leaned down to press a lingering kiss to his forehead. Older Satoru’s lips were stained red when he straightened again.

The world around Satoru dissolved into mist and he closed his eyes to settle the nausea that threatened to overtake him.

When a fun night of drinking (and a little bit of fortune telling) reveals a horrific vision of Suguru’s death at his hands, Satoru takes it upon himself to change their tragic fate at all costs.

    Summary

    “Can you fix my eyes?”
“It’s not your eyes that need to be fixed.”
For a moment, he’s back in the hospital with his head throbbing and immense pain coursing through his veins, his lungs on the verge of collapse, his body begging for it all to end. He’s tired, so tired. Tired of not knowing anything, tired of the constant aches, tired of trying to find himself with nothing to show.
“I don’t understand.” His voice, over the flames and screams in his head, comes out quiet. He’s not sure if he even said the words out loud or if he merely moved his lips, mute with nothing but ragged breath escaping.
A strong arm pulls him back into the priest’s warm chest.
    “You reek of monkey.”

Temporary amnesia due to severe trauma. It’s all the doctor can tell Satoru when he wakes up bloodied and bruised with no ID on him and no fingerprints matching any record. Plagued with the idea that his life must have been meaningless if no one is even looking for him, Satoru finds himself in front of a buddhist temple that proves him otherwise. As the haze around his memories clears, the guesses of who did this to him and why turn muddier and muddier.
