Summary
The girl knew she was an intruder here; an alien. Her world was governed by different rules than theirs, and even if she tried to assimilate, the label of some strange foreigner would remain forever attached to her. She didn't even want to try, knowing that any attempt would prove futile. She felt fear again. Sadness. All those emotions she supposedly should have been ashamed of, which Ms. Petronilla had told her to put aside. However, the woman wasn't always fully aware that the warrior she was training was also a child. A child, perhaps, who controlled her emotions better than her peers, but who wasn't devoid of them.
