"That it takes," Dingjie murmured, turning his face into the pillow but keeping his eyes on Xing. "That you fill me up so completely there’s no room for anything else. Make me pregnant, Xing. Put a baby in me."

The city is unusually quiet tonight. Oh, sure, he’s had his usual crimes: muggings, drug deals, a few break ins. Nothing special.
