Summary
Mobius believes him, is the thing. Believes he’s innocent. Also believes he has no one in his corner besides Mobius. Loki can’t exactly hire someone to look into it, nor does he trust anyone very easily. And maybe Mobius is being manipulated, but helping him is still the right thing to do.
The fact that he’s maybe a little in love with Loki, that he’d do anything for him anyway, is irrelevant.
(Mobius spends his days keeping his eye on parolees and helping them re-enter society, and he's certainly not expecting his latest case—a trust-fund kid with a white collar conviction—to be any different than any of his others.
